Master’s Group Seminars
Starting in coming months Cornerstone will be offering a series of lectures by Christian Authors, Pastors and Christian business leaders, to help Masters Groups members learn from industry leaders experience and apply these principles to their ministry. These seminars will only be open to Master’s Group Chairs and Master’s Group members and are offered free of charge. Current Speakers Include
Doug teaches pastoral theology and preaching at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama. He pastored First Presbyterian Church of San Diego for fourteen years. He has served churches in Denver, Colorado, Bloomington, Indiana, and Toronto, Canada. Before becoming a pastor, he taught at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto for seven years. Doug also works as an author and has written books such as Selling Jesus: What’s Wrong with Marketing the Church, and Text Messaging: A Conversation on Preaching.
Dan Reiland is Executive Pastor at 12Stone™ Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He previously partnered with John Maxwell for 20 years, first as Executive Pastor at Skyline Wesleyan Church in San Diego, then as Vice President of Leadership and Church Development at INJOY.
Dan is best known as a leader with a pastor’s heart and a coach’s instincts. He truly loves the local church, and is described as one of the nation’s most innovative church thinkers. His passion is developing and empowering leaders who want to grow, are willing to take risks, and enjoy the journey.
THOMAS G. BANDY is Vice President and Senior Partner of Easum, Bandy, and Associates, a church consulting and futuring firm. Regarded by congregational and denominational leaders as one of the most insightful thinkers and writers today, he is the author of several books, including Kicking Habits, Why Should I Believe You?: Rediscovering Clergy Credibility, and 12 Steps to Congregational Transformation: A Practical Guide for Leaders.
Alan is the founding Director of Forge Mission Training Network. He is the co-founder of shapevine.com an international forum for engaging with world transforming ideas. He is also part of the leadership team of Christian Associates, a missional church-planting agency with focus on Western Europe. Known for his innovative approach to mission, Alan is a teacher and key mission strategist for churches across the western world. His popular book The Shaping of Things to Come i(with Michael Frost) s widely considered to be a seminal text on mission. Alan’s recent book The Forgotten Ways, has quickly become a key reference for missional thinking.
